7-yr old Karatey champ

After winning gold medal in Asian Youth Karate championship in Sub-Junior below 25 kg weight category held in New Delhi on 28th November, Hashim Mansoor, 7, reached his home town Bandipora in north Kashmir  on Sunday.
Hashim was accorded a warm welcome amid claps and cheers by his friends, school and class mates and sports lovers during a felicitation function organized by Ali’s Sports Academy at Sher-i-Kashmir Sports stadium here to honour his feat in the championship. He was showered with rose petals and sweets.
Hashim Mansoor son of Mansoor Ahmad Shah of Nadihal village of Bandipora brought laurels not only to Bandipora but the state as well by winning gold medal in Asian youth Karate championship by beating his Sri Lankan rival in the finals at Talkatora stadium in New Delhi. 
The championship was organized by All India youth Karate Federation at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi in which 19 countries participated. Hashim was representing India.
After winning gold in the championship, Hashim is all set to represent India in World Youth Karate Championship to be held in Europe in September next year.
